How much energy should be exerted to make a run at Coppa Italia? Do we field our best 11 since we are not playing European football this year? Or do we save our legs for our placement in the table?

Every competition should be considered important! In my oppinion, we should definitely field our best 11. The league title may not be the easiest to obtain for Palermo ( with the strength of Milan, Inter, Juve, and Roma ), but cup competitions are much more open ( look at last years FA Cup final: Portsmouth and Cardiff, none of the big 4 ). The Coppa Italia could be Palermo's chance for silverware.

Coppa Italia is extremely important to us, supporters, almost vital*. Too bad that it's not taken seriously in consideration by our chairman and subs because they think that it's not easy to do well in the league if you focus too much on Coppa Italia and dedicate too many efforts in trying to win it. They said the same things about Uefa Cup too, what a shame!

Let's hope that they try to do their best in this year's competition (which starts tomorrow for us) since we're not in Uefa Cup anymore.

We lost two finals in 1974 and 1979, in two thrilling matches. Someone who was there still hasn't fully recovered from the shock :/

Knowing this club, I wouldn't be surprised if Zampa fires Stefano for this


and PLEASE let this be the end of playing a 4-3-3!!!!!!!! Why they chose this for a match with 3 fullbacks that really can't handle such a difficult assignment and 3 poor to mediocre midfielders is beyond me. Tactics lost this game, and the fact that you could have 3 up front and De Melo nor Jankovic are inlcuded flat out RIDICULOUS. What a frustrating loss, and I seriously question Colantuono's decision making skills!

I dont understand this.

Palermo:

1. Will not be playing in Europe this campaign ( Did Palermo even apply for the Intertoto Cup ? )
2. Does not have a great chance of winning the league title

This may have been there best chance for silverware, and they blow it away?
